i found no sweetness in this one at all. it had a fairly bitter, very rough taste to it. quite difficult to finish. this like every big rock beer i have tasted was a disappointment.

Bottle. Pours a light copper color with a moderate white head that diminishes fairly quickly. Light malty aroma with a little sourdough toast and floral hops. Primary flavors are light malt sweetness with an earthy hop bitterness in the finish. Light body and assertive carbonation.

Light Body, Dry Texture, weak palate that would be admissable if it was’t so sweet.

Pours pale clear amber with a tiny quick disipating head. Sweet caramel and chocolate aroma. Sweet and earthy. Drying and chalky. Pretty weak in the palate. A slight bit of pepper in the finish.

Bought 2 of these from the liquor store "odds" section....didn’t want a 6 as I had my fill of this in Calgary. It’s what I used to think was a micro brew before I knew any better. Pours a crystal clear amber-brown color with a small head that reduces quickly. Slight understated aromas of roast malts, caramel. Starts light with the nutty malts out-balancing the weaker hops..medium light body...light clean finish. A better than the average tasting light ales from the Canadian macros.....more flavor but still not enough to satisfy my tastes in an ale.

Flavorful but an average brew at best. Pours a dark amber color. With aromas of roasted malt and caramel. Light to medium bodied, with flavors of roasted malt, caramel, and a somewhat unstructured hoppiness. Ahh!
