Poured a hazy amber color with a large beige head. Sweat caramel malt aroma with fruity and earthy notes. Dark fruits and toffee flavor. Medium to full body.

Bottle. Sampled at Pauls Hoboken Gathering. Deep amber in color with a little off white head. Dark fruity malty aroma. Spicy notes. Malty sweet caramel flavor. Finish is sweet. Full bodied. Decent beer. Drinkable.

Sampled at Paul’s Hoboken Gathering. Hazy deep amber in color. Alot of caramel, some sherry- dark fruits in the aroma. Taste is caramel, dark fruits, bready yeast. Full bodied. Thought this was a more of a straight up aged barleywine rather than a quad.

Sampled at Dickinsonbeer’s Hoboken gathering - this seems more like a barleywine than a quad - muddy dark brown beer - loads of dough and fig and candied fruits in the aroma and flavor - a little bit of acidity and oxidation - some vegetal notes near the end - drinkable, but leaning heavily into the territory of lame.

Bottle at Paul’s Hoboken Gathering: Murky amber pour with a tan head. Lots of wintery spices in the nose. Some clove and dark fruits. The mouthfeel is frothy. Some oxidized dark malts in the flavor- dark fruits and subtle toasted maple. There’s a very light tart character in there, a bit plummy. Decent stuff.

Bottle. Pours light brown with a thin white head. Aroma/flavor is dark fruit, belgian yeast, candi sugar, sweet malt, and etoh in the finish. decent.

750ml bottle courtesy of Jonpol. Pours amber/copper with a thin sparse off white foam. Smells of sugar, some tarte cherries, dark fruit, some earthy character. Tastes nutty with some tartness and lots of sweet malt. No alcohol burn to speak of. This could use some more balance, but its otherwise an enjoyable beer.

Bottle thanks to kyzr: Pours a viscous faintly carbonated murky mahogany with some thin, off-white bubbles. Aroma of lightly sweet caramel malts and some vinous oaky notes. Body starts with decent fullness, but not much carbonation, and a light toasty malty sweetness with big, almost overwhelming vinous character, and some slightly acidic cherry notes. Pretty interesting, but could use some more sweetness for balance.
