yespr (6374), Copenhagen O, Denmark Aug 6, 2008 22 fl oz bottle. Pours murky orange with a creamy off-white head. Mild milky and slight spiced aroma. Flavour is smooth and slight milky. Mild spiced and light hoppy. Mild spiced and yeasty finish. Light liqourice and spiced yet also smooth caramel malty. ChainGangGuy (1536), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA Jul 15, 2008 Appearance: Pours a soiled, murky brown body with a few stray bubbles but nothing I’d dare call a "head".
Smell: Tart fruity aroma with a dusting of cocoa powder and cinnamon.
Taste: Begins with a tart cherry and plum fruitiness with a good ladle full of sweet syrup. Only a vague dark maltiness in the background. Not much in the way of hops or bitterness here, either. Pinch of cocoa, cinnamon, and maybe even nutmeg tossed in. Pop of alcohol on the finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-plus body. Mild carbonation.
Drinkability: I tried and I tried, but I just didn’t dig this one. Maybe next time!
