| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 23, 2007 Beer pours a nice orange amber color with a big, totally retained off white head. Aroma is citrusy but more in an orange way. Flavor is intially just bitter, but then a really nice juicy, citrus hop flavor kicks in that make things end up quite nice. I would definetely buy this if it was available locally. hayduke (1661), Eureka, California, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 18, 2007 In a head to head IPA tasting, this was the first of the beers we sampled. Copper colored pour with a thin head. Nose is grapefruit, apricot, and some caramel malts to balance it out. Taste is lightly bitter, palate is simple. Overall a middle of the road IPA, not something I will seek out in the future, but not bad by any means. This finished 7th out of 10 beers in the tasting. islay (478), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Feb 18, 2007 Approximately 4 oz. sample from a 12 oz. bottle at an IPA tasting hosted by tennisjoel. This was the first of ten IPAs we tried, all of them American craft brews. Hoppy aroma features citrus, pine, and floral notes, all of which are also prominent in the flavor. Pours an amber color with a moderate amount of short-lasting off-white head. In addition to the elements present in the aroma, the flavor is yeasty and contains a slight lemon sourness. Medium-bodied, buttery, and lively but subdued in the palate. This is a solid, prototypical IPA. It was my seventh favorite in the tasting, but I also would consider it the most traditional (American) IPA in the mix. If a non-beer drinker wants to know what an American IPA tastes like, this would be a good beer to which to direct him. Padron4KM (403), Chandler, Arizona, USA

Dark golden, with a thick creamy head that leaves lots of sticky lace behind.
Citrus and pine nose. Touch of malty sweetness down deep.
Flavor is sweet orange, with some grapefruit. a touch of caramel to balance it out.
Not a very complex brew, but it is still quality.
