| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 5, 2009 12oz bottle. Pours a crystal clear bronze-orange body with a finger-width, tan, slowly dissipating head that leaves lots of heavy lacing. Aroma is big on the floral and sweet caramels. Lots of fresh citrus, mostly a mix of sharper, piney grapefruits with sweeter mandarin oranges. The sweeter caramels give off a bit of a fruitcake, bready aroma as well. Flavor is a very bright, floral citrus with a nice, rounded and sweet caramel balance. Finishes with a light toasted toffee, dried mango, and an all-of-a-sudden, all-out resiny bitterness that lingers with lots of earthy hop and fruit flavor for quite a long time. Palate is dry and light to medium bodied, but fairly chewy. Overall, a really impressive flavor after a slightly above average aroma. Really nice balance to the big hop/caramel flavor as well. Solid IPA. deyholla (771), Bloomington, Indiana, USA

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | May 28, 2009 This was a great surprise. I am a fan of Moose Drool. This is even better. IPA’s are becoming my favorite beer. This beer has fantastic citrusy hops. They linger on the palate much longer than most other IPAs I’ve had. The hops start off with a strong lemonzest note but turn to apricot or maybe slight peach to linger on the palate. This is delicious and I will be drinking it all summer long. topherh (943), Kearney, Missouri, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 23, 2009 Another "more for the sake of more" IPA. Pours amber with a medium head and heavy lacing. Aroma is sharp pine and not much else. Flavor is overwhelmingly hoppy, and the thin caramel malts below simply don’t stand a chance. Very unbalanced. Some lemon zest in there as well. Plays nicely in the back of the palate and into the sinuses, may have a medicinal quality due to this. Hides ABV well, no alcohol noted. I’ve grown weary of this variety of beer. kseecs16 (914), Naperville, Illinois, USA

Light bodied. Lacks body, watery. Mild lingering bitterness.
