Aroma is sweet with hazelnuts, berries, tar, chocolate, turbinado sugar, and a lightly metallic note. Taste is chocolate, light roast, earth and a slightly fruity finish. Somewhat sweet overall with low levels of bitterness. Water-like mouthfeel and feels as if it is force carbonated. Very nice brown ale. matt7215 (993), Cambridge, Ontario, Canada

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 22, 2009 12oz bottle served in a stem glass. Clear dark brown body with a thin off-white head. Smells of cocoa powder, vegetal, and toffee. Taste is coffee, ash, cocoa, fruity. Lasting finish with some roastedness. Much more flavor than a typical brown ale but the flavor that is there just isn’t doing it for me. Smells of nuts, some chocolate, and roasted malts. The taste of chocolate is very noticeable but is also followed by a nice nutty flavor and a hint of spice. The finish is rather short. Pretty nice beer. beerwhore69 (7), Northglenn, Colorado, USA does not count | 1.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 1/10 | 1/5 | 1/20 | Jun 10, 2009 This is by far the worst beer i’ve ever tried in the can. For a brown ale, this beer really lives up to it’s name.. moose drool. I would not give a bottle or can of this to dog in fear of the pour little guy dying. wheelz843 (211), Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA
