Commercial Description:
Moose Drool is our Brown Ale. Far and away the best selling beer brewed in Montana, Moose Drool is chocolate brown in color with a creamy texture. Our brown ale is a malty beer with just enough hop presence to keep it from being too sweet. The aroma also mostly comes from the malt with a hint of spiciness being added by the hops. Moose Drool is brewed with pale, caramel, chocolate, and whole black malts; and Kent Goldings, Liberty, and Willamette hops. It has an original gravity of 13 degrees Plato, and is 4.2% alcohol by weight, 5.3% by volume.

Can. Pours with a mahogany brown body and a khaki, mountainous head with some lace. Aroma is sweet with hazelnuts, berries, tar, chocolate, turbinado sugar, and a lightly metallic note. Taste is chocolate, light roast, earth and a slightly fruity finish. Somewhat sweet overall with low levels of bitterness. Water-like mouthfeel and feels as if it is force carbonated. Very nice brown ale.

12oz bottle served in a stem glass. Clear dark brown body with a thin off-white head. Smells of cocoa powder, vegetal, and toffee. Taste is coffee, ash, cocoa, fruity. Lasting finish with some roastedness. Much more flavor than a typical brown ale but the flavor that is there just isn’t doing it for me.

Pours a deep brown with a thin soft creamy head that lingered. Smells of nuts, some chocolate, and roasted malts. The taste of chocolate is very noticeable but is also followed by a nice nutty flavor and a hint of spice. The finish is rather short. Pretty nice beer.

This is by far the worst beer i’ve ever tried in the can. For a brown ale, this beer really lives up to it’s name.. moose drool. I would not give a bottle or can of this to dog in fear of the pour little guy dying.
