Appearance: Moose Drool is clear, deep brown and has a tall off white head.
Flavor: The toasted/roasted malts are the dominant flavor; it does have spice notes in the back ground.
Overall Impression: A solid beer, the toasted/roasted malts are not my thing.

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | Apr 19, 2009 12oz bottle. Pours a clear, brown-ruby body with a finger-width, beige, foamy head that leaves a good amount of lacing. Aroma is mostly berry malts. Some light citrus and toffees, but mostly sweet berries. Flavor is much nicer than the aroma. Very nutty and smooth. Some lightly roasted grains, toasted caramels and toffees, and a hint of chocolate. A touch of spicy hop taste. Some light citrus and berries, but not nearly as prevalent as the aroma. Soft, roasty, bitter lingering flavor after a dry finish. Body is malty, full, and exceptionally creamy and smooth. Overall, a really nice brown ale. Good flavor and fantastic body. Solid stuff. Hophead22 (1106), Redlands, by way of Wisconsin,, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 18, 2009 On tap. Brown color of course, maybe more copper actually. Dark roasted, nutty aroma. Flavor was much the same, very easy to drink, not bad, but not great either. hobbersr (416), Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 16, 2009 Pours an almost black with reddish brown accents. The head is a huge mocha coloured bubbly monster with really nice lacing. Aroma has tones of hazelnut, chocolate, some grainy malt, a hint of earthiness, and spice. Tastes roasty and nutty. Chocolate, spice, hazelnut, and caramel. Mouth feel is soft and pleasant. By far the best brown I’ve tasted so far. blutt59 (2182), Dallas, Texas, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 8, 2009 Bottle. Ooh, 666th rating for this brew! Nutty chocolate nose with a touch of caramel and roasty black malt, very faint hoppiness. Chestnut-mahogany pour with a quivering tan head. Sweet start with roast and nuts, body is medium-full, dryish finish. On the whole, smooth and flavorful malt-forward brew, nice example in a relatively boring style. tmohr (25), Illinois, USA
