Commercial Description:
Moose Drool is our Brown Ale. Far and away the best selling beer brewed in Montana, Moose Drool is chocolate brown in color with a creamy texture. Our brown ale is a malty beer with just enough hop presence to keep it from being too sweet. The aroma also mostly comes from the malt with a hint of spiciness being added by the hops. Moose Drool is brewed with pale, caramel, chocolate, and whole black malts; and Kent Goldings, Liberty, and Willamette hops. It has an original gravity of 13 degrees Plato, and is 4.2% alcohol by weight, 5.3% by volume.

Bottle. Pours brown with a one finger tan head. Aroma is caramel malts, coffee, and maybe some hops. Flavor is rich and creamy. Very complex beer, well balanced. Very easy and enjoyable to drink.

Bottle. Poured a dark brown with a decent sized head. Sweet malty aroma. Taste was sweet initially then progressed to a light hoppy finish. I really enjoyed this one. Could do a few in an evening... easily.

Pour a dark brown with a thick tan head. aroma of carmal malts and nuts. tastes sweet, and nutty with carmel. has a slight hop finish to it. overall, this it a pretty good brown ale. not the best, but a drinkable brown when others are too expensive or not available.

Bottle.Pours a dark brown with deep amber highlights, and a thick bubbly tan head.Aroma is nutty with sweet caramel, and toffee notes.Flavor is sweet and malty.More of the caramel and toffee, some nice light chocolate notes with a bit of a spicy hop finish.Nice lacing, medium to full body, just enough carbonation to keep everything feeling crisp and light, very sessionable. A nice beer, fun to try

The shining star of Big Sky Brewing... don’t try others by them... at least what i’ve had. This beer pours with a nice thick head. Dark... but not overwhelming. A bit to much carmel almost artificial flavor. Nutty. Overall I would have again. And recomend. I’d give it a B... I’d give it higher but it is a low alchol content.... but still a solid beer. Plus the name well its just a good name.

Bottle. Aroma of tons of caramel, some nuttiness, a brown sugar sort of quality. Flavor quite nutty, sweet but pretty well balanced by earthy hop notes. Pretty good.
