Commercial Description:
Moose Drool is our Brown Ale. Far and away the best selling beer brewed in Montana, Moose Drool is chocolate brown in color with a creamy texture. Our brown ale is a malty beer with just enough hop presence to keep it from being too sweet. The aroma also mostly comes from the malt with a hint of spiciness being added by the hops. Moose Drool is brewed with pale, caramel, chocolate, and whole black malts; and Kent Goldings, Liberty, and Willamette hops. It has an original gravity of 13 degrees Plato, and is 4.2% alcohol by weight, 5.3% by volume.

clear golden brown, with a light amount of lacing. very light aroma. moderate carbonation The flavor is of mostly roasted malts with very little hoppiness in the finish. There are notes of coffee and some creamyness. Very nice brown ale.

Dark amber to mahogany in color. Clear, thin bodied, I might even say a tad watery. Smells of crystal malt and, to a lesser extent, dark malts. Tastes nutty with just a hint of spicy hops and has an almost sour finish. Becomes too sweet towards the end. Drinkable, cheap, but I will pass next time around.

Brown pour with a nice red center to it. Nutty caramel nose with a hint of chocolate. Flavor is a little more chocolate upfront with the caramel and nutty flavors as well and a mild hop presence. A little too watery, but outside of that a solid brown ale.

Pours a nice ruby brown with a 2 finger tan head that fades rather quickly to a thickish skin. Aroma is chocolate, caramel, dark fruits, plenty off rich buttery roasted nuts, and some floral/herbal hops. Flavor is nutty, grainy, a little chocolate, caramel and some herbal hops. Body is a little over carbonated and thin, but still a little sticky.

Cloudy brown with an internal red hue. Cashews, malt & driftwood nose....all fairly light. Crisp....with sunflower seeds and a touch of fennel? Malt and cocoa deeper in the palate. Finish is light with the cashews appearing on the finale. Soft and crisp in the mouth. Decent.

Bottle: crystal malt and plum aroma. A very nice beer with slight dryness, heavy carbonation and with a smoked malt taste dominating. It has a slightly sweet dark caramel vinous taste coming through which is nice and sets it apart from other brown ales.

A very nice brown ale. Nice pour of a dark caramel brown with a thick tan head. Aroma is malty of caramel and nuts but with a nice chocolate aftertone and a slight hop presence. Flavor is much of the same with a good bitter finish. Creamy texture and very easy to drink.
