The taste gave me a well balanced example of the style, with a twist. Glad to have the chance to taste. Thanks Mark. Carl99Fan (186), Suwanee, Georgia, USA

Tried to have one at every stop during my recent trip to MT. Extremely smooth, one of the more enjoyable beers I have ever had. RSRIZZO (1369), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Nov 20, 2008 Aroma is a sweet roasted malt scent. Color is a deep dark ruby with good carbonation and a thin yet very tight head. It starts with a lighter medium body that goes down with a crisp feel. Finish comes in with a sweet roasted flavor then a faint caramel backed by a dry hop flavor and mild bitterness. In the after taste there seems to by just a hint of alcohol. This is a good Brown, its malty and easy to drink. gearnut1515 (1), USA does not count | 5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 20/20 | Nov 1, 2008 Delicious! Full toasted cocoa aromas with some caramel and chocolate. Flavors are much the same, and includes biscuits and some smokiness, with a mild hops bitterness. Medium bodied, nicely carbonated, smooth and very drinkable. FlssmrBrewAlum (1182), Lisle, Illinois, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Oct 20, 2008 Bottle cracked with Drnk_McDermott in honor of our first trade and a gracious share by him. Poured a nice deep dark brown with a tannish head that was small but sufficient. Aromas of caramel, chocolatey bits, and toasted malts with a small hoppy bit. Mark indicated this had been cellared and that the hop bite was most likely muted, but I still enjoyed this for what it was. Taste is similar to the aroma, rich with a good medium bodied mouthfeel: chocolate and caramel with some toasty malts and a small hop bitterness that balances well in the finish. Perhaps a touch of coffee in the finish mingling with the hoppiness. Would love to touch fresher. Cheers! luttonm (329), Belgrade, Serbia
