Commercial Description:
Moose Drool is our Brown Ale. Far and away the best selling beer brewed in Montana, Moose Drool is chocolate brown in color with a creamy texture. Our brown ale is a malty beer with just enough hop presence to keep it from being too sweet. The aroma also mostly comes from the malt with a hint of spiciness being added by the hops. Moose Drool is brewed with pale, caramel, chocolate, and whole black malts; and Kent Goldings, Liberty, and Willamette hops. It has an original gravity of 13 degrees Plato, and is 4.2% alcohol by weight, 5.3% by volume.

Poured a brown color with a tint of amber color. It was served a little too cold so all of the flavors were a bit muted. As it warmed up a little the taste of carmel and chocolate started to dominate the taste of the beer.

On tap at the Grad. This brew was an average brown that was light on the palate. There were some tastes in there, but the beer ended up being too cold for them to come out.

Fairly mundane brown ale. Flavor was sweet and chocolatey. OK but not the greatest.

Dark brow almost black with creamy off white head. Aroma is faint, sweet malt and nuts. Flavor is metalic, watery chocolate, nuts and lightly sweet malts.

On tap at D-lux burger in PHX. It was dark, so it looked a deep dark brown almost black. Head was thin and whispy by the time it was delivered to the table. Arome was that of a typical brown ale, not too strong or hoppy. Taste was surprisingly smooth and not as complex as I was expecting. I was pleasantly surprised and would definately recommend this to my friends!

12 oz. bottle pours a clear dark brown hue with a quickly fading head. Strong roasted nut- grain smell. The taste is same as the smell ;slightly sweet roasted grains, a liquid version of nine grain toast smeared with sweet cream butter. Light to medium bodied with a super smooth mouthfeel. Very slight alcohol bite to finish. A great session brew. Feb 2004

Bottle. Pours clear dark brown with thin off-white head. Aroma is sweet caramel malts and nutty. Flavor is caramel, nuts, smoke, and is very true to style. Medium bodied with decent carbonation, very smooth. Good beer.

Poured a clear, cola-like brown with a meager off-white head that managed to provide a bit of lacing. The aroma was smoke and toasted malt. The flavor was mild chocolate, smoke, toasted caramel and some light spice. Average carbonation and mouthfeel as you would expect. A slightly above average of a fairly boring style.
