Nov 17, 2007 A dark brown pour with red tinting. Smell of roasted malt aong with fudge and brownies. Had a nice nutty flavor with a mild sweetness. A slightly bitter finish.

Nov 16, 2007 Brownish red in appearance with no head. Toffee caramel aroma. Light chocolate flavor with toffee and caramel - not overly sweet, actually rather nice for the style. I am also detecting a nice nuttiness. Some hoppiness is apparent but not distracting. Fairly carbonated mouthfeel with a slight metalic finish. This is a pretty tasty beer and an exceptional brown ale.

Nov 15, 2007 Bottle. Pours dark brown and shows amber highlights when held up to the light. The head is short and off-white and is gone before you know it. The beer smells slightly of chocolate with biscuits, pretty faint aroma. The taste is pretty nondescript, not much to write home about. Some generic malts and a tiny bit of hops bite in the back of the palate. The mouth feel is pretty flat. I’m not real impressed.

Nov 15, 2007 12oz...Water is what this brewer brags about. And let me tell you I’m not a fan of light (watery) beer, but after having a few of these I got past it. This is not a beer I will go out of my way to buy, but I could enjoy it as a session beer.

Nov 14, 2007 pours a dark brown with a ruby hue, thin tan head.
smell is of prunes, caramel, nuts, hint of cocoa.
taste is brown sugar, burnt caramel, nuts, it has an italian soda texture (milk and soda water).
i like this one, didn’t think that i would but it won me over, the mouth-feel is different yet pleasant, and the taste is quit appealing.

Nov 12, 2007 Bottle. Pours deep brown with a red hue when held up to light. The nose is appealing with walnut, milk chocolate, and barnyard malt. The body is semi-creamy. The flavor starts sweet with a chocolate malt rush followed by a touch of brown sugar and etherial hops. The finsh lingers and ends up bitter. A well made brown ale.

Nov 11, 2007 Bottled. Pours dark brown with a light brown head. Aroma is lots of nuts, chocolate, and malt. The aroma is almost creamy with the nuts and chocolate combining to create a truly glorious sensation. Flavor is a beautiful bouquet of chocolate and nuts with a creamy mouthfeel. Very awesome brown ale!
