Bottle. Pours deep brown with a red hue when held up to light. The nose is appealing with walnut, milk chocolate, and barnyard malt. The body is semi-creamy. The flavor starts sweet with a chocolate malt rush followed by a touch of brown sugar and etherial hops. The finsh lingers and ends up bitter. A well made brown ale.

Bottled. Pours dark brown with a light brown head. Aroma is lots of nuts, chocolate, and malt. The aroma is almost creamy with the nuts and chocolate combining to create a truly glorious sensation. Flavor is a beautiful bouquet of chocolate and nuts with a creamy mouthfeel. Very awesome brown ale!

Pours cola brown with thin fizzy head. Flavor is malty, a touch of suger and chocolate and straight forward. No complexity here, but a pretty good single faceted flavor. Clean finish, and very easy to drink.

Pours brown and the aroma is rich malt, with chocolate, coffee and notes of honey and sugar. Malty and sweet to taste, you can definitely taste chocolate. It fades away nicely and leaves me satisfied.

Wonderful beer. I finally got around to trying this & decided to compare it to another, similar beer I was already familiar with - Downtown Brown. From the bottle, this is a very dark, almost black, reddish brown with a fairly thick tan head that disspates only slowly and not entiirely, and leaves decent lacing. The aroma is rich malt - caramel, rich wheat bread, sourdough and nuts. The flavour is full, earthy, and sweet, very faintly sour, and with a hint of bitterness. It’s smooth and very tasty, with a full palate. It seems very English in style, like a sweetish cross between a true English brown ale, and an English ESB with a hint of English strong or old ale body and earthiness.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown with a thin off white head. Just a little lacing on the glass. The aroma is of caramel, sugar, nuts, and malt. The flavor is a bit sweet, but very easy to drink. A little bit of chocholate comes through as well. Medium body. This would be a nice session beer.

Bottle poured into pint glass. Very dark browne colour with a tan head that settles into a film. Aroma is molasses and caramel. Nice flavour but nothing amazing. Enjoyable pour.

Bottle. Pours a dark brown, thin head. Aroma is sweet and caramelly and nutty. Body is medium with medium carbonation. Flavor is also on the sweet side and malty, with caramel, nuts, and very light hop presence. There may be a hint of roastiness, and chocolate in the form of cocoa powder. Some light acidity as well. Finish is short and malty, lightly bitter. Not a bad brown I guess, it’s drinkable and flavorful without an overly sweet finish.
