Commercial Description:
Moose Drool is our Brown Ale. Far and away the best selling beer brewed in Montana, Moose Drool is chocolate brown in color with a creamy texture. Our brown ale is a malty beer with just enough hop presence to keep it from being too sweet. The aroma also mostly comes from the malt with a hint of spiciness being added by the hops. Moose Drool is brewed with pale, caramel, chocolate, and whole black malts; and Kent Goldings, Liberty, and Willamette hops. It has an original gravity of 13 degrees Plato, and is 4.2% alcohol by weight, 5.3% by volume.

Pours a dark, dark brown, almost black like cola. Thick creamy, toffee head fades, but not completely. A thin layer of creamy, yeasty foam stays for the duration. This ale smells like cookie dough, tastes like a hazelnut milkshake. Delightful!!!! 99 cents for a pint at Discount Liquor in Milwaukee on 9/21/2007.

Pours dark and thin, little head and next to no lacing. Smells like oatmeal raisen but has a nutty-pine taste. A little thin , smooth finish.

Brown colour with whit head. The aroma is sweet and malty. The flavor is nice malty with some complex nut and a bit of raisin and caramel going on in the background. The aftertaste is full and short.

tap @ papago...just brown with reddish highlights...aromas of sweet malts, dry roasted walnuts and caramel. flavor is super nutty with mild chocolate, really nice brewed tea and ripe fruits. dry hoppy finish. medium bodied. goes great with burgers...

out of the can this stuff is really dry and hoppy with a pronounced tannic bitterness

12 oz. bottle served cold. Pours a deep brown with a small off-white head. Aroma is quite sweet. The taste is all delicious malts with a hint of hoppy bitterness. I don’t have refined tastebuds, but swear I could discern chocolate notes. I really like this beer, and have since I stumbled across it when traveling through Montana a few years ago. I revel in opportunities to consume it.

Chocolate, nuts, malt, coffee, caramel. There is a lot going on in this delicious brown ale. Sampled from a bomber purchased at BevMo. This would be a great Fall/Winter beer.

Bottle. Town & Country Foods, Bozeman The best Montana brown ale I have tasted. That being said, I have only seen a handful. Pours dark brown, with a small head. Smooth and malty with some chocolate tones. Ends fairly dry.
