Commercial Description:
Moose Drool is our Brown Ale. Far and away the best selling beer brewed in Montana, Moose Drool is chocolate brown in color with a creamy texture. Our brown ale is a malty beer with just enough hop presence to keep it from being too sweet. The aroma also mostly comes from the malt with a hint of spiciness being added by the hops. Moose Drool is brewed with pale, caramel, chocolate, and whole black malts; and Kent Goldings, Liberty, and Willamette hops. It has an original gravity of 13 degrees Plato, and is 4.2% alcohol by weight, 5.3% by volume.

Aroma of toffee, coffee and light hints of chocolate. Deep brown color with ruby hilites. Beige head that leaves quickly with some light lacing. Medium+ mouthfeel. Sort of chewy, a bit of sour, along with chocolate malt, not sweet. There is enough hop to balance the dark malt. A rather dry finish. Not nearly so harsh as most browns, but not so smooth as Newcastle by a long bit. Maybe a bit of fruit in the finish. Pretty tasty ale.

Good stuff!! POured a nice dark brown with a off white head that stayed. Aroma was malt and chocolate. Tasted smooth with caramel and malt and some slight sweetness.

12oz bottle. Deep Brown with a tan head that retreats quickly to a thin layer. Caramel and toasted malt aroma. Sweet up front, with chocolate and roasted malt. Some hops come to the forefront towards the end. Finishes dry.

Dark brown; chocolate aroma; low carbonation; chocalate flavor with a hop sting; sweet. [tasted next to a Samuel Smiths Nut Brown Ale, and a Rogue HazelNut Brown Nectar]

Great beer! Very smooth and well balanced. Definitge session beer. Could use a little more body and choco malt to give it the classic profile. but it’s still good so wtf.

Ah, pretty weak for a brown ale i though, watery, not a lot of flavor there. its certainly drinkable, just nothing to flavorfull or nothing to offensive to it.

Didn’t like this one, so I have nothing to say about it. I think we got a bad batch or something, becuz its 81 percentile and I hated it.

(On tap) Dark brown with an orange glow and a small, off-white head. Lightly burned, toasted aroma. Medium body, notes of nuts and roasted malts and then a vague, ashy edge. Ends dry but not particularly bitter. A very decent Brown Ale. 230307
