Commercial Description:
Moose Drool is our Brown Ale. Far and away the best selling beer brewed in Montana, Moose Drool is chocolate brown in color with a creamy texture. Our brown ale is a malty beer with just enough hop presence to keep it from being too sweet. The aroma also mostly comes from the malt with a hint of spiciness being added by the hops. Moose Drool is brewed with pale, caramel, chocolate, and whole black malts; and Kent Goldings, Liberty, and Willamette hops. It has an original gravity of 13 degrees Plato, and is 4.2% alcohol by weight, 5.3% by volume.

Ah, pretty weak for a brown ale i though, watery, not a lot of flavor there. its certainly drinkable, just nothing to flavorfull or nothing to offensive to it.

Didn’t like this one, so I have nothing to say about it. I think we got a bad batch or something, becuz its 81 percentile and I hated it.

(On tap) Dark brown with an orange glow and a small, off-white head. Lightly burned, toasted aroma. Medium body, notes of nuts and roasted malts and then a vague, ashy edge. Ends dry but not particularly bitter. A very decent Brown Ale. 230307

Bottle. Poured chocolate brown with a small off-white hand that didn’t last long. Smells of light malts. Balance of malt and a little hop taste, a touch of sweet. Mouthfeel was pleasant, pretty carbonated though and a bit too thin. However, it’s a very drinkable beer.

Aroma is very light, color is dark smooth and even with light airy head. Flavor is very malty but still light for a brown ale with a clean finish without a heavy aftertaste.

Tasted this one at the Great Arizona Beer Festival on tap and I expected something much better. Aroma was slightly sour chocolate. Appearance was the only thing going for this beer, a typical dark brownish color. Flavor was overwhelmingly watery; very thin witha slight roast chocolate finish. Unfortunately I had to dump the last bit of this one! I was expecting so much more.

Mildly roasted, grainy, light chocolate aroma. Light chocolate, roasted malts, and caramel flavors. Watery mouthfeel and a bit thin. Decent.

Some sweet coffee aroma. Slightly roasty. The beer pours a nice dark brown with a velvetty white head. Flavor is chocolate malt. This is a very sweet brown ale. There is also a pretty yeasty element to this beer. It is very carbonate, medium bodied, and pretty easy to pound.
