Dark nut brown color, small beige head. Caramel and cardboard in the nose. Caramelly, slightly tart flavor. Some cardboardish hops. Standard boring brown ale. Needs more fresh bottle, I think. oh6gdx (9047), Vasa, Finland

Rogue’s brown ale is by far my favorite but this was really enjoyable also. Dark brown pour with a tan head, coffee, sugar, malts in the smell. Good stuff!" Airlifter (116), Shawnee, Kansas, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 1, 2009 Pours a dark reddish brown with a lot of tan head. Aroma is hoppy with an alcohol bite. Flavor is mild, with a bit of coffee and caramel and a slightly hoppy aftertaste. Thin mouthfeel and a tad watery, but better as its temperature rose in the glass. Not bad. cfrancis (349), Gloucester, Ontario, Canada

Deep brown and clear, almost looks like a porter. The head is modest and fades quickly. Sharp, roast malt aroma. Sweet with a medium body. The malt flavor hints at chocolate and smokiness. bconley (351), Fern Park, Florida, USA
