Aromas are of some caramel, dirt, some malt, some nut presence. Flavors arent very striking in this, the king of Montana beers. Weak coffe and choclate taste with maybe some acorn notes. A little sweet, but very thin and watery. light bitter in the end. badlizard (2345), Berkeley, California, USA

Aroma is sweet with hazelnuts, berries, tar, chocolate, turbinado sugar, and a lightly metallic note. Taste is chocolate, light roast, earth and a slightly fruity finish. Somewhat sweet overall with low levels of bitterness. Water-like mouthfeel and feels as if it is force carbonated. Very nice brown ale. matt7215 (967), Cambridge, Ontario, Canada

Smells of cocoa powder, vegetal, and toffee. Taste is coffee, ash, cocoa, fruity. Lasting finish with some roastedness. Much more flavor than a typical brown ale but the flavor that is there just isn’t doing it for me.
