Commercial Description:
Moose Drool is our Brown Ale. Far and away the best selling beer brewed in Montana, Moose Drool is chocolate brown in color with a creamy texture. Our brown ale is a malty beer with just enough hop presence to keep it from being too sweet. The aroma also mostly comes from the malt with a hint of spiciness being added by the hops. Moose Drool is brewed with pale, caramel, chocolate, and whole black malts; and Kent Goldings, Liberty, and Willamette hops. It has an original gravity of 13 degrees Plato, and is 4.2% alcohol by weight, 5.3% by volume.

really a great Beer! When i first poured it i knew i was in for something great, it looked almost dark enough to be considered a Stout, its just a really Dark Brown ale, The best i have ever Drank, I am looking forward to the Other five i have in the Fridge. Aroma was amazing a Great Carmel, Coffee, malt Smell. The flavor was magnificent, really wasnt Expecting it from a brown ale, it really took me by suprise. You must try it if you like Dark Bears, or stouts! Will try Other Big sky Brews!

One Darn fine beer. I am usually not one for darker beer but this one is good. Very easy to drink. Wish it was available in the midwest. I always bring some cases back when I am in the Northwest.

This is a beautiful looking and tasting brown ale that sets Big Sky brewing company apart from other brown ale brewers in the U.S. The flavor and color match the intense aroma that pleases the nasal cavities. I personally love the beer and wish it was available in IN.

By far, this is my favorite brown ale. It’s a great beer for camping or a night out with friends. I love the appearance and deliciousness of it!

Wonderful beer. I finally got around to trying this & decided to compare it to another, similar beer I was already familiar with - Downtown Brown. From the bottle, this is a very dark, almost black, reddish brown with a fairly thick tan head that disspates only slowly and not entiirely, and leaves decent lacing. The aroma is rich malt - caramel, rich wheat bread, sourdough and nuts. The flavour is full, earthy, and sweet, very faintly sour, and with a hint of bitterness. It’s smooth and very tasty, with a full palate. It seems very English in style, like a sweetish cross between a true English brown ale, and an English ESB with a hint of English strong or old ale body and earthiness.
