Very easy to drink. Wish it was available in the midwest. I always bring some cases back when I am in the Northwest. ryandrinksbeer (10), USA

I personally love the beer and wish it was available in IN. smprochak (23), Washington, USA

I finally got around to trying this & decided to compare it to another, similar beer I was already familiar with - Downtown Brown. From the bottle, this is a very dark, almost black, reddish brown with a fairly thick tan head that disspates only slowly and not entiirely, and leaves decent lacing. The aroma is rich malt - caramel, rich wheat bread, sourdough and nuts. The flavour is full, earthy, and sweet, very faintly sour, and with a hint of bitterness. It’s smooth and very tasty, with a full palate. It seems very English in style, like a sweetish cross between a true English brown ale, and an English ESB with a hint of English strong or old ale body and earthiness.
