ditmier (286), Boise, Idaho, USA Apr 10, 2008 2008 Bottle - Malty and grainy, very little bitterness, a nice brown. As it warms, it almost takes on a cola flavour, not too bad...
kosko20 (199), Bemidji, Minnesota, USA Dec 2, 2008 A very nice brown ale. Nice pour of a dark caramel brown with a thick tan head. Aroma is malty of caramel and nuts but with a nice chocolate aftertone and a slight hop presence. Flavor is much of the same with a good bitter finish. Creamy texture and very easy to drink. Oscbert (304), Sacramento, California, USA Dec 1, 2008 ~Pours a rich amber brown color with small off white head.
~Crystal caramel malts, raisin, sweet chocolate malts, and nuts in the scent.
~Caramel malt taste, as well as raisins.
~Medium feel, smooth, bitter aftertaste.

The taste gave me a well balanced example of the style, with a twist. Glad to have the chance to taste. Thanks Mark. Carl99Fan (174), Suwanee, Georgia, USA Nov 27, 2008 Big fan of dark beers...this did not disappoint. Great name, great flavor. Tried to have one at every stop during my recent trip to MT. Extremely smooth, one of the more enjoyable beers I have ever had.
