I enjoyed the beer however not as much as my brother amped it up to be. I will probably not go out of my way to buy this beer however I would not turn one down if offered to me either.

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 26, 2009 Draft at Nick’s Pub in St. Louis. Pours a dark brown color with red tints and a light beige head. Aroma of roasted sweet malts, brown sugar, hops, and not much else- may have been too cold for other notes to show. Flavor was light for a brown ale, but caramel, other sweet malts, hops, and nuts were all present, with berry fruits late as it warmed and got lower. Light-medium bodied, with a chewy mouthfeel. A little disappointing for what I normally expect and love in a brown ale, but not a bad beer by any means. mar (1835), Dallas, Texas, USA

Little thin on the palate but, the huge coffee notes and the roasted malts are quite nice with the chocolate finish. Cavie (1386), Fort Worth, Texas, USA
