Commercial Description:
Moose Drool is our Brown Ale. Far and away the best selling beer brewed in Montana, Moose Drool is chocolate brown in color with a creamy texture. Our brown ale is a malty beer with just enough hop presence to keep it from being too sweet. The aroma also mostly comes from the malt with a hint of spiciness being added by the hops. Moose Drool is brewed with pale, caramel, chocolate, and whole black malts; and Kent Goldings, Liberty, and Willamette hops. It has an original gravity of 13 degrees Plato, and is 4.2% alcohol by weight, 5.3% by volume.

moos drool is not what I ecpected. I enjoyed the beer however not as much as my brother amped it up to be. I will probably not go out of my way to buy this beer however I would not turn one down if offered to me either.

Draft at Nick’s Pub in St. Louis. Pours a dark brown color with red tints and a light beige head. Aroma of roasted sweet malts, brown sugar, hops, and not much else- may have been too cold for other notes to show. Flavor was light for a brown ale, but caramel, other sweet malts, hops, and nuts were all present, with berry fruits late as it warmed and got lower. Light-medium bodied, with a chewy mouthfeel. A little disappointing for what I normally expect and love in a brown ale, but not a bad beer by any means.

Deep chocolate brown with a ring of cream head. Nose is chocolate and coffee. Little thin on the palate but, the huge coffee notes and the roasted malts are quite nice with the chocolate finish.

Orange pour that turns increasingly dark. Warm brown malty nose. Taste is sadly watery. Some dark bitter flavors but not enough to reclaim any glory.
