phishpond417 (1418), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Aug 19, 2008 This beer pours a clear, dark copper coloured body with a thick tan head. Aroma is slightly hoppy with light coffee and a significant amount of floral notes. Tatse is light, but comfortable and satisfying. Finishes slightly bitter but balanced. bluemooner (77), Rogers, Minnesota, USA Aug 2, 2008 Pours a dark amber color with off-white head. Tastes of hops, caramel, and malts. Pretty smooth and drinkable. Good beer. esjaygee (733), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA Jul 5, 2008 Reddish amber with a quickly dissipating tan head. Aroma of spice, malt, caramel, dough, toffee and alcohol. Smooth start with a semi-chewy finish that’s a bit spicy. Flavors include caramel, sweet malt, spice and mild alcohol. Vegetal and hop properties also creep in there. Decent winter beer (on a hot summer night). spagyetti (68), Puyallup, Washington, USA Jun 30, 2008 Bottle. Nice colour, and head. A little chewy in overall feel. Still, only a western brew, this has nothing on it’s English counterparts. Zinister (877), Houston, Texas, USA Jun 25, 2008 Rich caramel color with beige head. Nose is sticky malts with some slight hops character. Bready nose as well. Good mouthfeel with this beer...with nice carbonation. Some toffee, caramel and woody flavors with some roasted nuts. Very nice beer.
