Lemon and Grapefruit aromas right away with the flavor changing to malty, grassy, citrusy, Tart Grapefruit, Crisp Finish. Very clean. Great Beer. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 13, 2007 Clear amber color with over two inches of nearly tan head. Although the foam is rich and thick and sudsy, there is only minimal spotty lacing. Nice malty aroma, but light.
There is a decent caramel maltiness, but less than I expected from the aroma. The generic hop bitterness is Ok, but only OK. I would have like just a tad more malt, and some more character from the hops.
A little bit light in the body but superbly carbonated. Finished a tiny bit thin. Slight malt and very slight peppery spice in the aftertaste.

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jan 1, 2007 I’ve had this beer before in an aluminum bottle, but this bottle was glass.
This beer poured a nice sparkling amber with abundant white head, which is packed loosely and is sticky, leaving some lacing.
Aroma is a light sweet hoppiness. The aroma is very mild.
Taste is pretty malty with a light hoppy aftertaste. OK, but not bad.
Mouthfeel is middle-of-the-road, not too sticky and pretty drinkable. However, it is a little thin.
Based on taste and a thin mouthfeel, I think this beer is really only marginal.

| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Dec 21, 2006 Pale amber beer with a thick white head. Sweet orange and light grapefruity aroma with some light caramel character as well. Slightly oxidized with some distracting diacetyl notes as well. Caramel flavour with sweet orangey hops were probably quite tasty at one point, but there are too many flaws in here for me. PattyBoy (302), North Liberty, Iowa, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 1, 2006 A nice hoppy aroma. The taste begins quite nicely and has a consistent hop prescense throughout. A little heavy in the finish, but quite good overall. ABUSEDGOAT (1934), California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 15, 2006 Clear amber, fairly large head. Aroma has spicy hops with some fruity notes and caramel backing it. Not the blast of grapefruit I had while in the PNW. A good example that shows you don’t need a blast of Cascades to have a good APA. Bonus points for the name too.
