Poured a copper color w/ a fairly large off white foamy head. Roasted, grassy, woody malty aroma. Flavor about the same-Malt, roasted almonds, grassy/woodsy, caramel. Long pleasent finish-not a bad beer, but not memorable-kind of left me wanting more, espacially after having tried the Moose Drool. kimcgolf (832), Dacula, Georgia, USA

I enjoyed the initial aroma of this, a hoppy smell of grass and floral scents. Flavor continued the floral and grass, along with pine. Unfortunately, the finish was extremely unpleasant, completely dominated by these flavors. By the end of the glass, I felt as though I had been chewing on grass and sucking on flowers. The very dry, floral/grass palate completely ruined this beer that started out promising. RAYBOY01 (1834), Chicago, Illinois, USA

Very inviting citrusy/pine nose. Initial great big round caramel/toffee flavors upfront, transitioning into the PNW hop bitterness...pine, grapefruit, orange and lemon in the finish. Very refreshing and yet leaves me longing for another, and another, and another... hellomynameis (794), Mayer, Minnesota, USA

I’ll venture a guess it’s more of a golden colour with a medium white head that doesn’t stick around. The aroma contained hops, and made me feel as though I may be surprised and have something with a little taste to it. It’s got a primarily hop filled taste, but not necassarily bitter. Malty flavours are in there, but nothing exciting or worth noting. Overall it was alright. jpm30 (1588), East Central, Georgia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 3, 2006 From a 12 oz. long neck brown bottle with no bottled/freshness date.
Made a decent appearance, poured a pretty clear golden hued amber with a foamy white head that settled into a thin, bubbly lacing, moderate carbonation.
Had a floral and citric juicy nose with a little nuttiness and sweet maltiness in the background.
A crisp, smooth medium bodied mouth feel, above average drinkability.
Dry grapefruit juicy hop taste, hop oily in nature, a smooth, even bitterness through out the taste, a floral leafiness follows the initial citric hoppiness, sweet and toasted maltiness lies underneath, struggling to surface, a very subtle nutty butteriness as well and a dry citric hop finish.
A nice APA from Big Sky, tasty and balanced, makes a good change of pace beer.

Pours beautiful copper color with a white head that’s not huge but still stands up. Super pine-y, almost resin-y nose. George Brett’s nemesis, if you will. Big toasty malt on the attack, followed by a crisp, slightly bitter citric finish. Medium bodied with very agreeable carbonation. In every way a great session beer, except that it’s not dinstinctive enough to be really memorable.
