(12oz Bottles; 2/2006) Pale gold color with fast dissipating, but relatively mousy head. Leaves little lace on the glass, but too its credit, it does leave some. Grassy hop aromas and some malty sweet aroma predominate. Mild grassy and spicy hop notes with some resin barely noticable. Sweet maltiness best served cold.

(01.29.06) 12 oz brown bottle as a gift from home brewmaster Scott L. Sampled at DiCarlo’s, Mundelein, IL. Bottled 03.02.05. Clear amber hued ale having a long lasting large head with good lacing. Good carbonation. Sweet malty aroma. Medium bodied that starts dry with light sweet malt and toasted malt flavor. Finishes dry. Good flavor. Very good drinkable malty ale. Thanks Scott!

Bottle: Vibrant golden, large off-white foamy head, fairly nice lacing, light carbonation.   Soft hop nose, slight citrus, but unfortunately some graininess and mash.   Grainy flavor, mash, slight diaceytl.   Body and mouthfeel are fairly average, but its nearing the thin side.   Finishes quick, slight hop bite at the end but still remains somewhat grainy.   Not bad, but certainly not that great either.   Average at best.

Bottle. Pours light amber with disappearing head. Aroma of toffee and mild berry. Starts and ends crisp, with flowery middle. Nothing really tounge grabbing. An okay pale ale, but not as good as I remembered.

This beer pours an orangey straw mixed color with a thin white head and fairly nice lacing. The aroma is actually considerably pleasant... Citrus, banana, apples, pears, wheats, grains, and of course the smell of a pure malt bag...ahhhh that smell of a 50lb malt bag lying near a keg..... Flavor is once again exceptionally better than I ever dreamed of...citrus and once again syrupy malt. Hints of cardboardy dryness in the finish, but man do I love crystal malts!!! Prickly carbonation and mild bitterness with a hint of wheatgrass. Smooth finish, fairly crisp and pretty clear. I could see how this could easily become a household staple. A bit sticky in mouthfeel, but overall not many complaints.
