Well, only a little. This is very bready from start to finish, and the hops just waves hello from the distance. Likewise, the nose is very bready, with just a hint of citrus. Medium in body, but actually quite smooth and creamy on the palate. A moderate woodiness comes out in the finish as well. Amber color, fully transluscent. Off-white head is average in size and retention, with just a few traces of lace left on the glass. An excellent session brew, pleasant and easy to drink. BrewDad (2378), Olympia, Washington, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 28, 2005 Not a bad little pale. It’s a deep, clear copper, with a nice soupy, off-white head that lingers nicely. The resiny hops start hitting the nose at the pour making me wonder if this thing is hopped out the caboose. A closer sniff shows definite hoppage, but not excessive. A rich caramel breadiness competes with the hops for dominance. The flavor is bready malt with just a bit of hop bitterness at the end. A pleasant pale that a bit sweeter and maltier than most, but that’s not a bad thing. PorterPounder (3148), Tallahassee, Florida, USA

Dark golden pour with a decent sized, frothy white head with decent lacing. Aroma has some brief floral notes and some fresh lake water accents. Flavor has some muted citrus notes and not much else. Good companion for food - extemely smooth - no high or low notes - good hop/malt balance. Slightly thin mouthfeel. Overall, just decent. mikey (337), farmington, Utah, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 17/20 | Jun 18, 2005 Poured a light golden/amber color with decent white foam head. The nose was a nice potent, whisper of caramel-toffee and light citrusy, piney hops. The taste started with a sweetish, caramel-drenched maltiness that’s threaded with floral and lightly fruity hops that help to balance it and give it a nice dual character. the end was nicely backed by a solid bitterness that leaves it dry and refreshing in the finish. Alcohol content is relativly low and it’s smooth medium body; rich caramel malt character; and great balance, this makes for an excellent session ale. ontario102 (794), Boise, Idaho, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 20, 2005 Amber colour with a finger of dense foam. Gentle carbonation. Fresh aroma of mandarin orange peel and a little bit of cedar. Moderately bitter. Very grapefruity with light florals and wood. There is a slight hint of caramelly/toasty malt but it’s rather subtle.
