Fresh aroma of mandarin orange peel and a little bit of cedar. Moderately bitter. Very grapefruity with light florals and wood. There is a slight hint of caramelly/toasty malt but it’s rather subtle. | 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 14, 2005 In the glass bottle. Amber in color with a white head. Caramel malty aroma. Low in hop flavor. This is an average at best pale ale. Boring at worst. Just no hop character. 1FastSTi (2590), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 8, 2005 Poured from an aluminum bottle. Decent amount of bubbly, creamy looking off-white head tops the reddish-copper colored body. It laces really well. Piney, citrusy, caramel, apple peel and bread describes the aroma. Flavor is caramel, toasted malts, flowery hops. Palate is smooth, creamy, and well carbonated. I’ve had more exciting beers. MIBRomeo (1966), Wisconsin, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 5, 2005 opened a gusher.. an odd orange color w/ a small white head. big sweet fruity head.. smelled of oranges and another fruit as well as some syruppy fruity smell too and a nice even hop background. Palate is pretty avg nice carbonation fairly light but not watery. Flavor was very mildly fruity sweet i expected much more sweet from the nose. The finish is a touch dry bitter. Overall a decent beer that smelled great but didn’t deliver after that. fuzzywasabeer (28), boise, Idaho, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 28, 2005 Cool aluminum bottle. Sweet caramel aroma, with a bouquet that puts in on the barleywine range (very low end, obviously), and with a mild salt & vinegar crisps flavor. Hazy amber with white ring of head. Gentle, lingering bitterness, and a very light touch of metal. Simple palate. Very sessionable, and above average for pale ales.
