I actually think this is the best offering from big sky, at least from the brews I have tried. Decent and enjoyable. A very underrated stout. And something else CIGARSNBEER IS A MEMBER OF THE VALLEY CITY KILTED YAKSMAN CLUB! You know I am just kidding cousin!

Color is as black as black can be, and the head is thick, sturdy, and of tannish hue. Nice aromatics: cocoa, cream, earthy, gritty, some espresso, but I have to breathe in deep to imagine it all. Some bitterness on the palate, but, moreover, smooth and tasty. Lacking is the roasty flavor on the palate. that I utterly insist on in an oatmeal stout. Not much bite, and far too light in body. A decent and drinkable stout, but on the bottom rung, as oatmeals go. [

A friend visiting Montana brought this one back for me - Thanks Pigboy! Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer pours a very dark color with a small tan head. There is a light sweet and toasted aroma. The flavor is smooth, creamy and smoky. The smoky taste lingers on the aftertaste.

Nearly opaque dark brown with ruby highlights and a medium creamy tan head. Light aroma of vanilla, milk chocolate and roast. Medium watery body with low carbonation. Decent flavor of chocolate and roast with some fruit and mustiness. A little watery and weak for my tastes, but drinkable.

A rather light stout. Light bakers chocolate flavor. Finish is a bit watery and grainy. Decent at best.

This was deep brown not black with a creamy tan head that dissapates rather quickly. Chocolate notes are somewhat restrained and it all disappears by the time the finish should be making it's presence known. Thin and a little disappointing. It needs something but it would make a good beer for someone who doesn't care for real robust Stouts.

Dark brown pour, nice head with fine tan lacing. Aroma of dark fruits and grains, baker's chocolate flavors with subtle fruits. Kind of watery, disappointing body, but tasty. Pretty drinkable stout from Mont-aaaaa-na.
