| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 1/5 | 11/20 | Jul 19, 2002 Orange brown in color. With a head like a weak american standard. Aromas of roasted barley, caramel, and chocolate. Very thin in mouthfeel with a bit of fizz. Flavors are OK, but way to thin. BückDich (4848), McCall, Idaho, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 23, 2002 Smells of malt and chocolate. Could use more head and better lacing, but the beer itself is very dark (as it should be). Tastes alright, I’d much rather have a Samuel Smith Oatmeal Stout. Goes down slightly dry and bitter. Not too impressed with this beer. Ernest (4489), Boulder, Colorado, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 24, 2008 Garnet highlights show through the dark brown body when held ot light. The light brown head pops and is farily dense as it fades. Milk chocolate mixed with coffee make a nice mocha aroma. There is also a little bit of pancake dough. The taste has light milk chocolate chips balanced with some hints of pancakes. There was also some dark corn syrup that hints at molasses. The soft mouthfeel helps to make this very drinkable. Nicely done.
