Bottle... Poured dark brown -- near black -- with a nice, creamy, light brownish/tan head. Roasted aroma of that classic stout-like nutty, sweet, cocoa malt character. Lots of carbonation and pretty robust for the lower alcohol, and a little hoppy as well. Nice chocolate flavors with a dry, grainy finish.

Bottle. Pours dark brown to light black with a large, frothy light brown head, somewhat lasting with good lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (hay, dry bread, toasted grain, chocolate), little to no hops, light yeast (leaves) with notes of dates; some earthy hops come out as it sits. Taste is slightly soured malt, bitter dark chocolate, oats, and dark fruit. Palate is spicy-fizzy, slightly thin, medium bodied, and a sour malt finish. Overall a fair beer but seems a little thin for a sweet stout, especially given the use of oats.

12oz bottle. Pours a dark brown with a tiny beige head that disappears very quickly. Aroma of coffee, dark chocolate, and roasted malt. Flavor is of dark roasted malt and dark chocolate with a slightly nutty character and some noticeable hop bitterness. Not quite as sweet as I would expect for an oatmeal stoat but still very good. Finish is slightly bitter with lingering coffee notes. Medium body with good carbonation. Overall a very good beer.

Pours very dark brown, black with full pint. Not much head to speak of nor much retention. Roasted aromas strong on the nose and a maybe a slight hint of chocolate. Dark roasted flavor, slight bitterness on the tip of the tongue. Ton of mouthfeel but medium carbonation.

On tap at Beachwood about a week ago. Another cool surprise at Beachwood; great selection that night. Color was a dark brown color with not much head. Aroma of fruit, caramel, roasted malt and a general sweetness. Flavor was sweet, with carame and roasted malt. Felt that it was above average for the style.

Bottle thanks to ericandersnavy. The smell is roasty, oatmeal, malts, ok. The look is brown, clear, with a beige colored head. The taste is sweet, oats, and some chocolate.

dark brown pour with a medium tan head. Aroma is dusty roasted coffee. bittersweet chocolate and coffee in the flavour. Some oatmeal sweetness lingering in the finish. Medium bodied though thins out towards the end.

Dark pour with thinnish head. Aroma of mud, roasted malt. Drinking this reminds me of going to haunted houses in the middle of hillbilly Illinois. Its somewhat milky. A bit thin. Pretty smooth, albeit pedestrian, stout.
