Pours clear red-brown with a thin white head. Not much in the way of cherries in either the aroma or the taste. This one is better on paper than in reality.

Ruby pink color, thin frothy halo’d top. Nose of fermented fruit, marzipan, and alcohol. Flavors dominant in marzipan notes and yeastiness. Not much cherry coming through but the mouthfeel is thick and the bitterness is pretty firm in the finish. In fact, this is somewhat hot and boozy..but possibly in a good way.

This sounded a lot better on paper than it tasted. Smells very cherry, somewhat medicinal, but not overly repulsive. Pours reddish amber, no real head to speak of. Old cherry flavors, perhaps a hint oxidized, I had this one for a minute before opening it. A little hot and medicinal in the finish. Meh.

2008 Bottle - Thanks Toby! - Pours ruddy amber with a dirty, almost purple head...aroma is musty fruit, cherries, cran-apple box drink...flavour is sweet cherry candy, molassas and fire...alcohol is definitely present, nice cherry flavour, but I can’t get past the booze...like cherry Fort divided by 2 and still promising a headache...

Bottle thanks to rollinhard. Poured an auburn color with white head. Not much lacing. Aroma of cranberries, cinnamon, and cherry. Flavor of black cherry and spice. Good beer.
