(750ml bottle 1931/2028 thanks to Rollinhard) Pours a dark orange with nice head. Cherry smell, nose is complex like a Belgian. Nice lacing on the glass. The look and smell of the beer do not represent the taste well. The beer tastes like dark breads with odd bitter lingering flavors that don’t taste good or desirable in a beer. Overall it misses the mark.

Liquid Sunshine VII Tasting – Kirkland, WA
Aroma: Fruity cherry aroma with a light malt backing.
Appearance: Dark amber in color, clear with a thin head.
Flavor: A nice fruity cherry flavor with a nice malt backing this was a very nice fruit beer.
Palate: Great Finish, with a Nice Mouthfeel.
Overall: This was a well brewed fruit beer needed more to make this a huge beer.

Pours quite red with orange highlights and a small offwhite head. Aroma of cherry, stems (think produce isle), butterscotch and faint maple. Tastes sweeter than the aroma lets on with maple, caramel, subtle fruit, that "stem" quality, old fruit (with a subtle fruitiness for the name of the beer), and nutmeg. Medium bodied, slicker than creamy, and very hot for not being 12% or something. It’s alright, but the qualities the fruit brings to the beer aren’t good ones.

BevMo has stocked this beer for awhile now and after many attempts at getting it, but putting it back for something else I figured...wtf...let’s do it. Well, first...it’s a huge bottle. There was no way I was going to finish it by myself, unless it totally rocked. It didn’t, but I did get about 3/4 of the way thru it.

The aroma is dark cherry juice, with a bit of cough drop-like medicinal quality to it. Strong cherries in the flavor, toasty malt, a bit of spices...reminded me of a cheap cherry pie you get at a convenience store. Alcohol seemed pretty well hidden, although the more it warms the more it shows up. Not a bad fruit beer to start someone on. Cherry is clearly evident in the aroma and flavor. Looked great in my glass....a dark cherry red color, hazy with a nice pink fluffy head. Price is a little out of whack though.

Bottle thanks to rollinhard, bottle# 1731 of 2028. Pours a hazy dark red with white fizzy head. Aroma has some nice cherry and malt. Flavor is a different story, I was very dissapointed, very sweet, some farmhouse, alcohol, some cherry, sounds good but it was very rough and not smooth (or smoove). Mouth feel is medium body with high fizzy carbonation. Overall, flavor was rough and just not very good....
