A funky farmhouse cherry aroma. This is very strange. Sweet, but also funky, almost like this has some chocolate. Hard to explain this other that I really enjoyed it and don’t understand this low rating at all. I understand that it isn’t smooth but I missed the phenols and got no soda out of this.

750 ml bottle. I was lucky enough to get a bottle of this from my father who was traveling through Missoula, MT. This is an excellent cherry strong ale... Pours a deep amber with a thin white head. Aromas of honey and cherries... nice medium body and very smooth over the palate. Thick cherry flavors dominate the palate... but not overly so. Pleasant aftertaste lingers. Overall, a very good beer that is not easily obtainable - so if you see it - grab one.

750, capped and foiled. Rich red body under a thinnish gray film. Nice sweet and funky cherry and horseblanket nose. Medium body, fizzy. Light, balanced, pleasant cherry and brown bread mid-palate. Very proportional. Great stuff, though understated. Hides the alcohol very well.

Appearance: Dark amber in color, clear with a thin head.
Flavor: A nice fruity cherry flavor with a nice malt backing this was a very nice fruit beer.
Palate: Great Finish, with a Nice Mouthfeel.
Overall: This was a well brewed fruit beer needed more to make this a huge beer.

Had a sample at Strong beer fest in Mesa, thought would try full bottle. Fermented cherries for aroma. Amber body with white head. Thick body with charries with medium amout of tartness. Leaves th palate with some dryness so you’ll need a palate refresher after this one.

Ruby pink color, thin frothy halo’d top. Nose of fermented fruit, marzipan, and alcohol. Flavors dominant in marzipan notes and yeastiness. Not much cherry coming through but the mouthfeel is thick and the bitterness is pretty firm in the finish. In fact, this is somewhat hot and boozy..but possibly in a good way.

From the bottle this pours dark red/copper with a soft white head. Belgian dubbelesk, spicy, with a dark cherry sweetness to the finish. Roasted pecans and brown sugar in the flavor. The cherry flavor isn’t overwhelming, and the spiciness of the yeast esters compliments it well. A bit more sourness or acidity would give this more of a lambic edge and really improve it in my opinion. But on its own this is a solid beer.

Bottle thanks to rollinhard. Poured an auburn color with white head. Not much lacing. Aroma of cranberries, cinnamon, and cherry. Flavor of black cherry and spice. Good beer.
