Had this beer on 6/30/2006. Aroma is faint with a slight hint of pepper. Color is a bright crisp gold with low carbonation and very thin head. Taste is light, crisp and clean. Starting with a light body it goes down easy with a light crispness. Finish comes out of the crisp feel with a light sweet taste and is backed by an easy bitterness. Its a nice Summer brew but lacks a bit.

Sweet ale with a light honey malt and mild spicing to the finish. Bready palate, soft, with a mild crisp hop finish, enough to supply balance, but the sweetness is still the focus. The herbal and spicy flavor to it gives it a touch of earthy funk.

A thin, sweet, clear gold ale. The bomber I sampled, from BevMo, seemed overly carbonated. A good, but not great, very easy drinking Summer ale.

Pours a clear gold with a white head. Smells of spice and honeycomb. It is full of a spicy malt flavor with a good blend of hops and it has a smooth sweet finish.

Pours a clear gold with white head. Aroma of malt, grains, and honey. Flavors are mostly bread, grain, and a bit of malt, with hints of honey. Very mediocre.

Big Sky Summer Honey is a crystal-clear, lively light golden ale with an off-white head that mostly dissipates and leaves good lacing. The first aroma that strikes me is... pizza dough (?!?), followed by honey and cane syrup and a hint of spruce. That yeast is too loud, otherwise it’s excellent. It is medium bodied and soft, lively on the tongue, and it leaves the mouth raw and oily. It’s hella bitter. The flavor balance is excellent (a bit top-heavy). The yeast is in balance here and has a great Western US flavor. The blue spruce aftertaste reminds me of big country. It’s fruity and bready-- a rowdy western session ale!

12 oz bottle from DYCSoccer17. Sort of a nice orange/brown combo, very clear with vanishing head. Grainy, sweet honey aroma with light spice and some graham/doughy notes. Smells appealing, but relatively uninteresting. Initially sweet flavor dies out pretty quickly, into an acidic, rather carbonated and dry grain extraction. Faint notes of honey and some alcohol presence. Finishes with faint bitterness, again very dry.

The golden hue and spongy head looks inviting, but doesn’t produce pleasant results. The aroma is sweet with notes of nutmeg, but there’s nothing satisfying in the taste. Makes me think of a prototype instead of a finished product. Too bad, I like the Moose Drool.
