Drew (2377), Kent, Ohio, USA Jun 13, 2007 I was surprised by the sweet honey aroma - stronger than I expected. Poured gold with medium head. Medium body, sweet malts, honey and then some grassy hop bitterness at the finish along with lingering sweetness. (Thanks to my parents for bringing home new beers from out west)
CaryTheDude (282), Ripon, Wisconsin, USA Oct 9, 2008 Yeah, I know it’s October, but I’m trying to hold onto summer. Unfortunately I got this one. At least it was a variety six. Colbert tells me that bears are one of the biggest threats to the United States, and I can see why: they make shitty beer. Somewhat crisp and refreshing if you’re dying of thirst I suppose. RasterMaster (8), , Oklahoma, USA does not count Sep 25, 2008 Updated: Sep 30, 2008Golden honey pour with a a bit of bubbly carbonation leaving a good thick white head which mostly diminishes into heavy lacing on the glass. Slightly pleasing yeasty-bread and bitter hop with balanced taste. Easily drinkable on hot summer days. dalekliz (206), San Diego, California, USA Sep 24, 2008 Bottle. Pours a clear, deep gold with a thin white head that fades. Aroma is sweet, quite a bit of honey, hops, malt, citrus. The honey hits right away in the taste, with pine, malt, citrus. Lingering sweet honey flavor. A little too sweet, but not bad. anders37 (2741), Malmö, Sweden Sep 22, 2008 Draught @ WABF 2008. Pours a clear golden color with a small white head. Fruity malty aroma with some weak hints of honey. Sweet malty honey flavor and also some hints of caramel. Sweet malty finish with hints of honey in the aftertaste. natejgood (141), Denver, Colorado, USA Sep 19, 2008 Pours a very light golden color with a small light head. The beer is almost clear with very few bubbles. The bottle I had smelled a little skunky. I’m not sure if it was just the bottle I had or if that is how the beer always smells. The beer had a bitter hop taste with hints of honey around the edge. It feels smooth in the mouth and is easy to drink. Definitely refreshing on a hot afternoon.
