bitbucket (1536), Kirkland, Washington, USA Dec 12, 2007 Yet another old rating. I’m finding these everywhere. On tap at the brewpub. Pours lightly hazy dark amber with an off-white head. Light body, nearly still. Smoky tobacco aroma. Roasty malt taste. Almost non-existent finish. jcwattsrugger (3807), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Oct 16, 2007 on tap-pours a thin retaining light tan head that laces and brown color with red tint. Aroma is mild nutty, faint medium malt. Taste is nutty/roasty, medium malt-molasses, secondary hops bite. OK carbonation. Bradrcr (554), Renton, Washington, USA Oct 7, 2007 9/4/07 On draught at the brewery. Aroma is very chocolatey with light roast malt and no hop character. Appearance is medium brown, hazy, with no head. Flavor is roast malt forward, very sweet, with low bittering and flora. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a low carb bite a distinct grainy feel. Overall, this is a little different than most with a lighter flavor profile, and more sweetness, but it’s very easy drinking and tough to complain about. BuckeyeBoy (1113), Boise, Idaho, USA Oct 5, 2007 On tap at Big Time Brewery Seattle, For a Ohio State Football game. Pours out a nice dark brown topped with a off white head. Some nice malt, wood, and a little sweet in the aroma. It also had a some hazel nut on the end. Oakes (6819), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Sep 4, 2007 Dark brown with slightly red accents. Thick head. Sugary, nutty aroma. Almost syrupy hazelnut character, hints of earthy, toasty malt but not enough to balance this out.
