Sep 27, 2008 Draught @ the brewpub. Pours a black color with a small off-white head. Roasted malty chocolate aroma. Roasted malty chocolate and coffee flavor with some hoppy hints. Has a roasted malty chocolate finish.

Sep 10, 2008 Very solid porter. Rich, roasty dark chocolate and mild sweet caramel malt backbone with bits of woodiness and coffee bean hints. Nice light floral hop component. A tad yeasty on the finish. Nice drink overall.

Apr 18, 2008 Roasted ash aroma, some choco, slight smokiness. Opaque with crimson edges yet maintains a light swirl. Black malts are nicely balanced with slight creamy caramel and decent hoppiness. Just a great beer. Thanks André!

Mar 1, 2008 Sessionable porter that’s well malted, with chocolate malts,and so quite drinkable. Hops are secondary but there. Black with moderate white head. Aroma of mild roast. Well balanced and satisfying. Medium mouthfeel.

Jan 14, 2008 Pours almost opaque but not totally, with nice layer of foam and lace. Nose is light and clean and so are the flavors, which include mainly coffee. Decent mouthfeel and quaffable if not exciting.
