Canned. Thx Gnoff. Golden colour with medium-sized head. Pale malty/grainy aroma with a raw edge. Pretty malty in flavour with nuttiness and metal. Low bitterness.

Can. Thx gnoff. Golden with an ok, white head. Sweet and malty aroma; rather harsh and artificial. Light citric flavour; some pineapple. Thin and dry and metallic.

(50 cl can, purchased in a store in Friedrichsdorf, Germany) Clear golden color, white head. Sweet grainy and malty scent. Acidic grainy taste. Thin mouthfeel, medium bitterness.

i]Can (50 cl), thanx to gnoff. Clear golden wtih medium white head, grainy malt aroma with notes of potatoe and cauliflower, quite thin with spritzy mouthfeel, a bit sweet with low bitterness.

Light golden color with an off-white taller somewhat foamy head. Light tomato juice and herbal/minty nose. Just peeled away the sticky government warning label to reveal a date of 3.07. Not sure if bottled or best by, but am assuming best by. I’m still catching flavors that are not typical of either stale or old beer. LIghtly toasted pale malts flavors. with a metallic bite in the finish and linger. Some nuttiness in the finish.

Slightly maltier version of the Pils. Goes down easily. True "fluessiges Brot."

From a 500 ml. euro bottle with no freshness date, sampled at a cooler cellar temperature in lager glass. Poured a clear orangey golden with a nice sized frothy, foamy white head, good retention, small amount of sticking. Aromas of honey and dusty grainy biscuits, floral and light whiffs of sterile alcohol. Good moderate carbonation and a crisp, dry, smooth medium bodied mouthfeel. Tastes of honey lemon and dry biscuity malts, a light sugary maltiness as well, a soft spiciness with a subtle herbal flavor, the alcohol has a grainy nature, and a dry, clean finish. This was better than I expecting, quite quaffable.

Back at the Hotel Europa, my wife asleep after her infusion of naked-host SMS game shows on Deutsch MTV. Cracked the bottle, whiffed, shouldn’t have. Yeast burp nearly knocked me clean out like my missus. In the glass it was cleaned up, straight-forward. Simple barnyard must on the nose here, quite gritty, light prickle. First mouthful is sweet, honeyish. It quickly dries, there is a lot of grain here - it reads like a Bitburger, but not as convincing - all dusty, grainy, held well on the palate with just a tinkling of Noble hops just shading a little earthy and spicy edge in there on the swallow before trailing off before being uninvited. Could it do with more hops?, yes!,... a little more length?, yes!!! Confusing palate-wise.
This is dry for most of the length yet a sweetness resides and builds on the tongue. Sugary now at the dregs - warmed up from the heat in the room - my wife asleep and no boobs on TV I got bored of this quickly. Bring on the next beer. Average macro-quaffer. (50cL, BB 12/06)
