zappafan99 (283), Rock Hill, South Carolina, USA May 23, 2008 Aroma: Cherry, malt, yeast. Taste: Woody, nutty and lots of dark fruit. Dry with a lite chew. Quite alcoholic for a 5.5abv. A bit more bitter hops than normal for the belgians .

Thick light brown foam that is 1 inch over the glass rim. The foam is so thick that you could eat it with a fork. The foam contains much bitterness and some hop taste. The liquid is as red as normal red wine. The aroma is small but complex with sour cherries and malt. In the taste you find a small bitterness and a bid body. It is not as sour as ther bruins I tested but so good. Beerman6686 (654), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 31, 2008 Updated: Aug 2, 2008Poured a dark brown color with an off white head. Aroma was of sweetness candy sugar, some dark fruits. Flavor was also a bit burnt and some dark fruit with a sweet finish. zebracakes (972), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 27, 2008 Bottle.
Pours dark ruby brown, off white head. Aroma is malty, chewy, anise, pine. Flavor is malty, caramely, and chewy. Not offensive, but not very complex. Disappointing for a $6.95 price tag at the Sharp Edge.
BoBoChamp (622), Gent, Belgium Jul 23, 2008 33cl, from De Hopduvel Gent, easy to drink, not complex, hazy, good head, nice brew MuttyD (62), Cambridge, USA Jul 14, 2008 Only 54 percentile overall (as of 07-14-08)? Very underrated beer. Subtle sweetness and slightly hoppy finish. Very smooth and rather thin body. One of the best Belgian Ales I’ve tried.
