Aroma was burnt toffee and taste was sweet with an aftertaste to die for it is sweetness heaven. This is a great beer with which i have converted a few vb stalwarts to the micro brew way. Unfortunately no stock available currently but look for it next winter this is a gem from a great brewery. mullet (767), Melbourne, Australia Aug 24, 2005 Looks good - deep red, clear, decent foamy head. Big, powerful aroma of treacle, butter and toast made me think it would have an equally powerful flavour, but it didn’t. Instead it was shockingly watery in comparison with candy, subtle smooth roastiness, vegemite and quite a bit of diacetyl flavour which gives a perception of a nice buttery texture. Surprisingly dry. On taste alone, you’d never guess it’s a bock, but I still found it interesting and quite drinkable. Bintara sure makes some "unique" stuff.
