Commercial Description:
The Bios Kriek Lambic is sold under the CHERISH label in the USA and outside Europe. Everybody likes the right balance between the sourness of the Lambic and the sweetness of the fruit, in this case cherries. The aroma of the cherries is not too dominant, as it should be. The beer gives a very pleasant and refreshing feeling in the mouth, with a smooth cherry aftertaste. The Bios Kriek Lambic is an excellent thirst quencher, low in alcohol (5 % by volume) and great to drink at parties. True Lambic lovers prefer the Bios Kriek Lambic so much because you taste slightly more of the Lambic sourness, than in some more commercial Belgian Lambics, wherein the artificial sweetness is too strong.

I found this a fun brew to try. Bottle, pours a dark maroon red. A pinkish head laces the bottle. Cherries describes it’s aroma well, citrus and maybe wine. Taste acidic, cherries mixxed with a heavy tart. I enjoyed this brew, something very new for me at this point. I look forward to running into others.

In the 250 mL bottle. Pours reddish brown with a medium white head. Has a candy sweet chery aroma with possibly a bit of chocolate. Very tart flavor. The finish is a bit cidery and skunked. Thin body.

Bottle... Cloudy amber ale with a small, creamy, off-white head. The nose is of fresh black cherries. Nice, balanced, fruity flavor. Not too sweet; not too tart... just right! ... until an artificial saccharin-like aftertaste kicks in. Medium-bodied with medium carbonation. Fruity, artificially sweetened finish.

Bottle from Super Saver. Deep copper/ruby-edged pour with minimal off-white head. Aromas of cherry, strawberry, and raspberry, plus some malt. The taste is Jolly Ranchery cherry, with a finishing tartness.

A rose by any other name . . . . Cherish Kriek, as my bottle says, is reddish copper with a weak champagne like head and a faint artificial cherry aroma and semi-sweet cherry flavor. Finished off quite tart.

A nice sourness to this one, was expecting a sweeter brew, but the sourness was great, the cherry was dominate, but not to the point I didn’t enjoy it. Good brew. Bought at whole foods, Pasadena.

I had this a year ago drunk in Dijon France. I remember nothing other than some fruity notes.

Dull pinkish color with a minimal amount of bubbles adrift on top. Cherry licorice aromas, really not much more than that. Light malt with a cherry caramel middle. A return to a mild caramel in the finish and linger. A cherry caramel, covered in dark chocolate. Simple in some ways, but less annoying then I expected from the aroma. This would not be a bad dessert brew.
