Commercial Description:
The Bios Kriek Lambic is sold under the CHERISH label in the USA and outside Europe. Everybody likes the right balance between the sourness of the Lambic and the sweetness of the fruit, in this case cherries. The aroma of the cherries is not too dominant, as it should be. The beer gives a very pleasant and refreshing feeling in the mouth, with a smooth cherry aftertaste. The Bios Kriek Lambic is an excellent thirst quencher, low in alcohol (5 % by volume) and great to drink at parties. True Lambic lovers prefer the Bios Kriek Lambic so much because you taste slightly more of the Lambic sourness, than in some more commercial Belgian Lambics, wherein the artificial sweetness is too strong.

Red with a pink head. Cherry fairy floss aroma. Sweet cordial cherry flavour. Bit fake in flavour. Ok though.

(Bottle 25 cl) The aroma of cherries is overwhelming, as soon as the cap comes off. And the cherries are -to put it mildly- quite evident in the flavor as well. I refuse to believe that the flavor can be this intense without the addition of artificial flavors or at least a concentrate. Light brown and hazy with a reddish tint. Almost no head. The same brewery makes a beer with almost the same label called "Vlaamse Bourgogne. A "Vlaams Bruin"-type. With it’s hint of iron this beer is probably the base of "Bios Kriek". 020304

Pours a cherrywood color. Almost no head at all. Aromas are predictably overwhelming cherry smells. Cherries do not over power the taste like they do the smell. A bit more balanced. Taste of cherries and plum. Sweet fruit fades to sour malt and yeast. Very winey tasting. Medium bodied with sour aftertastes. A nice "commercial" looking kriek, better than I was expecting. Is very sweet but not unbalanced.

Bottled. Clear red colour, small creamy. Very sweet cherry aroma. Sweet cherry flavour with some bitterish notes in finish. Cherry aftertaste. Carbonation tickles tongue a bit much, otherwise very good.

Dense reddish brown body, agressive pour produced very little foam. Funky sherry, cherry candy aroma. Sweet baked cherry flavor, mildly tart in the finish. Sweet but just about balanced.

Very fruity aroma, hazy ruby, tiny off-white head.I agree with Sammy, this tastes more like raspberries than cherries, also some wheat. Acidic, sweet, dry. Very good. Thank You Radek.
