Sweet and even syrupy though not cloying. Lots of lace. For lambic fans, but didn’t work for me. ChillCoat (1029), Concord, California, USA
| 0.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 3/5 | 1/10 | 1/5 | 1/20 | Dec 5, 2004 Pours an off colored copper color with no head. Aroma is that of cherry candy with a strange burning plastic thing going on as well. Not at all well blended. None of the sourness I associate with a great (or even good) lambic. Cherry flavors seem to battle with flavors of chocolate and chemicals. There is a very strange, astringent aftertaste. That burning plastic dynamic shows up again in the aftertaste and sticks on your tongue. This is terrible! ClarkVV (3578), Allston, Massachusetts, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Nov 14, 2004 2003 bottle. Pours a light red/pink body, clear, but there is dark sediment at the bottom of the bottle. Small fizzy white head. This one missed the boat and then some. First thing that comes to mind is artificially sweet cherry medicine. But then there is a trace of cherry pits in the aroma. Flavor is moderately sweet, with a hint of tartness on the end, I wouldnt go as far as to say sour even, just lightly tart. No interesting yeast notes, no funk, just cherries with a lightly tart background. Not syrupy, but then, it’s also a bit too thin. Holdwine (908), Beertimore, Maryland, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Nov 11, 2004 This puppy missed the boat. Ruddy pour. No head. Sour cherries, but no happy lambic buzz. Spoiled cough syrup. Not a happy camper am I. jimmack (1221), Nutley, New Jersey, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 11, 2004 Reddish/brown color with a small white head. Sweet cherry aroma. Sweet cherry flavor that dries somewhat on the finish. A kind of medicinal aftertaste
that wasn’t very pleasant. If it wasn’t for the aftertaste, I would’ve given this beer a bit higher rating. GeniusGirl (221), Boston, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 16, 2004 caramel colored with hints of ruby. aroma of cherries and wine, sweet cherry flavors with a carbonated soda water finish. nice for tasting, but too sweet for much more. smahtnicole (15), boston, Massachusetts, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 16, 2004 This beer smelled like cherries and tasted like cherries too. However, I found it too sweet to be enjoyed for more than a bottle. Would make a lovely gift, though. IndianaRed (1559), Boise, Idaho, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Aug 15, 2004 8Oz Bottle Pours a cloudy orange brown, with not much of a head, but maintained some good lacing. Not what I was expecting for a cherry Lambic. Aroma is a very nice sweet cherry/apple. Just like a cherry lifesaver in apple cider. The flavor is very different. Sharp harsh, bitter. I’m not sure it’s supposed to taste lke this. Sour, vinigary lively carbonation, dissapointing.
