Commercial Description:
The Bios Kriek Lambic is sold under the CHERISH label in the USA and outside Europe. Everybody likes the right balance between the sourness of the Lambic and the sweetness of the fruit, in this case cherries. The aroma of the cherries is not too dominant, as it should be. The beer gives a very pleasant and refreshing feeling in the mouth, with a smooth cherry aftertaste. The Bios Kriek Lambic is an excellent thirst quencher, low in alcohol (5 % by volume) and great to drink at parties. True Lambic lovers prefer the Bios Kriek Lambic so much because you taste slightly more of the Lambic sourness, than in some more commercial Belgian Lambics, wherein the artificial sweetness is too strong.

Deep red color with little or no head. The taste is very strong cherries with a light sourness. Too sweet and not balanced enough imho.

Red color. Quite simple but enjoyable, with some sweetness deriving from the cherry syrup.

The other two Cherish Lambics were very dissapointing, I suspect his one will be as well, but I went into this one with an open mind. Aroma is hard cherry candy. Tastes like an Icee at first then kicks into this wheaty, dark cherry with chocolate flavor. No head, light copper coloration.

Can a beer be tacky? This one just seems cheap, the culinary eqivalent of a leisure suit. Even the aroma, normally a saving grace for fruit beers, seems candyish and fake. Nasty cough syrup cherry flavor. Finish is medicinal, to continue the cough syrup theme.

Sampled from draught at Danish Beer Festival 2004 (#58).
Light cherry colored beer with a disappearing head. Sweet cherry aroma, somewhat artificial and no sourness. Flavor is very cherrish, mostly sweet but with an underlying dry sourness. Tasty!

Draught at DBF 2004. Very beautiful, hazy red with a frothy white head on top. Aroma is cherries, and lots of them. Sourness too. The cherries seems a bit too artificial. Well balanced and easy drinkable.

bottled: dirty pink color, clear with a small white head that goes away. up the nares tingly bubbly cherries. all the flavor here is kriek maybe a slight mustiness of yeast. tart and sweet and dry cherries. like a sparkling wine. chicks dig this. not really a beer in my opinion.
