Commercial Description:
The Bios Kriek Lambic is sold under the CHERISH label in the USA and outside Europe. Everybody likes the right balance between the sourness of the Lambic and the sweetness of the fruit, in this case cherries. The aroma of the cherries is not too dominant, as it should be. The beer gives a very pleasant and refreshing feeling in the mouth, with a smooth cherry aftertaste. The Bios Kriek Lambic is an excellent thirst quencher, low in alcohol (5 % by volume) and great to drink at parties. True Lambic lovers prefer the Bios Kriek Lambic so much because you taste slightly more of the Lambic sourness, than in some more commercial Belgian Lambics, wherein the artificial sweetness is too strong.

8.4 oz bottled under Cherish Kriek. Pours a dark red with a one finger pink head. Nose is mostly maraschino cherries. Taste is cherry cough drops and black cherry soda. Medium sticky mouth feel. Extremely sweet and candy like. Good in very small quantities. Their raspberry version is better.

Bottle, Cherish. Aroma of tart cherries and some acidic tartness. Flavor the same, tarter than I expected, in between the purely sugary lambic fruits and the classic lambic fruits. I quite enjoyed it.

Bottle, labeled Cherish Kriek. Pours a dirty brown red with a huge, thick, foamy light pink head. Aroma of sour cherries and a little funk. Flavor of sweet cherry with a nice tartness. Body is a little weaker than I’d prefer, but this is a nice cherry lambic.

Reddish amber appearance with a tiny white head and very little lacing, Sweet, cherry licorice aroma. Taste turns a little more tart, but the cherries (or the cherry syrup) overwhelm everything else. Medium bodied, well carbonated mouthfeel with a finish that’s almost cloying.

This is a nice lambic, with an agreeable balance of tart sourness and sweetness, both of those qualities are blended nicely. This is the sweetest kriek I prefer, I might buy more for use with desserts.

8.4 oz. bottle. Pours ruby read with brownish lo-lights. A slight skim of sudsy foam floats around the top then dissipates. smell is cherry with a strong sour malt smell backing it up. Taste is cherry sours up front with a nice sweet malt finish that hold in the back of your throat. Mouthfeel is medium to full with pretty low carbonation. It really rolls over your tongue. This is a nice tasty fruit brew.
