Commercial Description:
The Bios Kriek Lambic is sold under the CHERISH label in the USA and outside Europe. Everybody likes the right balance between the sourness of the Lambic and the sweetness of the fruit, in this case cherries. The aroma of the cherries is not too dominant, as it should be. The beer gives a very pleasant and refreshing feeling in the mouth, with a smooth cherry aftertaste. The Bios Kriek Lambic is an excellent thirst quencher, low in alcohol (5 % by volume) and great to drink at parties. True Lambic lovers prefer the Bios Kriek Lambic so much because you taste slightly more of the Lambic sourness, than in some more commercial Belgian Lambics, wherein the artificial sweetness is too strong.

8.4 oz. bottle. Pours ruby read with brownish lo-lights. A slight skim of sudsy foam floats around the top then dissipates. smell is cherry with a strong sour malt smell backing it up. Taste is cherry sours up front with a nice sweet malt finish that hold in the back of your throat. Mouthfeel is medium to full with pretty low carbonation. It really rolls over your tongue. This is a nice tasty fruit brew.

25 cl. Cherish version, 07 vintage. Dark red-brown with a two-finger lasting and creamy head. Nice frosting all over the glass. Big aroma of tart cherry and slight apple. Flavor is sweet and tart cherry pie with a hint of cinnamon, apple vinegar and lemon juice on the finish. Medium body is creamy but lightly rippled with carbonation.

From a small bottle purchased at By The Bottle in Vancouver, WA--Poured a lavish deep red body with a small pink head. Super cherry nose, like syrup. Over the top maraschino scent. Smooth and thick, but a little bit goes a long, long way.

didn’t expect much from this beer but I was impressed. It pours with a red body topped by a thin head with little lacing. The aroma is full of sweet marichino (sp?) cherries with slight malt notes. The flavor is slightly sour yet sweet with tons of marichino(sp? again) and a hint of malt. Light bodied, smooth and dry. It’s no New Glarus, but what is? Overall good. This would be a good beer to get someone into craft brew.

Bottle labeled ";Cherish"; purchased at State Line Liquors in Elkton, MD. Poured a deep ruby with a thin pink head into my snifter. Smells like cherry cough syrup, slightly sour. Taste is tart and wheaty, not nearly as much cherry character as I had hoped for. Finishes a little weak, no cherry or sour character remains, just wheat. Not bad.

I’ve seen this sitting at Tip Top restaurant next to my house for a couple of years, now I’ve decided to buy one. No date, but a code of 07KF. Initial aroma is some musty cardboard, with a huge fluffy head that settles very slowly. No cherry aroma to speak of. Deep red color. No floaties and maybe a hint of sediment. Taste is sweetish, gritty?, Sourness is very mild. Not bad, just a little past it’s prime. Woohoo, one more sour rating. This is by far the lowest I’ve rated a sour. Wouldn’t mind rerating fresh.

On-tap at Prost! International Tap House Served in its proper glass ware Poured a dark bubbly red with lots of little bubbles rising from the glass Aromas of cherry cough drops It smelled like the box you used to sniff as a kid Sweet cherries not too much bitter but not sticky sweet either with a light carbonation on your tongue Very enjoyable drink I had this as a desert brew after downing a bunch of hot wings. The cherry after taste did stay with me quite a while after finishing the brew so If you are not into cherries stay away
