Commercial Description:
The Bios Kriek Lambic is sold under the CHERISH label in the USA and outside Europe. Everybody likes the right balance between the sourness of the Lambic and the sweetness of the fruit, in this case cherries. The aroma of the cherries is not too dominant, as it should be. The beer gives a very pleasant and refreshing feeling in the mouth, with a smooth cherry aftertaste. The Bios Kriek Lambic is an excellent thirst quencher, low in alcohol (5 % by volume) and great to drink at parties. True Lambic lovers prefer the Bios Kriek Lambic so much because you taste slightly more of the Lambic sourness, than in some more commercial Belgian Lambics, wherein the artificial sweetness is too strong.

Bottle. Pours a ruby hazy beer with a pink head. Aroma is sour cherries, barnyard funkiness, and a sweet nose. Falvor is that with a light sourness and a strong passion of cherries. I enjoyed this one.

Nice and sour. Not a lot of depth or funk complexity. Just a lot of fruit sourness. Nevertheless very refreshing and great as an appetizer to a dinner.

Pours a reddish brown color with a foamy light pink head. Sour cherry aroma. Sweet-tart flavor, a bit more sour than some other lambics I have sampled, with lots of cherry flavor. Refreshing, but I couldn’t drink more than 1 or 2.

Bottle. Pours warm reddish brown with a fluffy pink head. Tart cherry aroma, with a hint of vinegar. Light body and active carbonation. Sweet-tart cherry flavor with a tart cherry finish. A tasty beer, but there’s not much going on except the cherries, so it sort of comes off as a tart cherry cider.

Bottle from Sun Devil Liquors - Pours a hazy deep amber color with a one finger thick very light pink head. Faint spotty lacing. Has a sweet medicinal cherry aroma. Flavor is a light tart cherry flavor. Palate is smooth and lightly bitter. Medium body. Not bad for a fruit beer.

Pours a hazy amber, with a very slight pinkish color to it. Very light pink foamy head that disappears rather quickly. Faint spotty lacing. Aroma of cough drop cherries. Flavor of cherry syrup. Not as tart as most lambics. Sweet easy drinking beer, but only one a night will do.

Pours a reddish pink color with a beige head. Aroma of Cherry, and sour with a hint of spices. Has a sweet tart sour flavor with cherry sweetness and hints of earthy woodiness. A mediocre example of the style, but it was still quite enjoyable.

Huge bubbly pink head that died down to a nice yeasty looking one. Hazy light red pour. Bit of a metallic taste in the head. Tart creamy sour cherry taste. Quite yeasty and bit metallic at the end. Novelty and I doubt I’ll buy again.
