Commercial Description:
The Bios Kriek Lambic is sold under the CHERISH label in the USA and outside Europe. Everybody likes the right balance between the sourness of the Lambic and the sweetness of the fruit, in this case cherries. The aroma of the cherries is not too dominant, as it should be. The beer gives a very pleasant and refreshing feeling in the mouth, with a smooth cherry aftertaste. The Bios Kriek Lambic is an excellent thirst quencher, low in alcohol (5 % by volume) and great to drink at parties. True Lambic lovers prefer the Bios Kriek Lambic so much because you taste slightly more of the Lambic sourness, than in some more commercial Belgian Lambics, wherein the artificial sweetness is too strong.

Amber, reddish colour with a beige head. Cherry fruity aroma with a light tart note and hints of marzipan. Light tart cherry fruity flavor with hints of wood. Dry, light dusty finish.

Bottled. Smells like Danish cherry wine. Very sweet, not much of a carbonation. Not much of a beer taste, either, mostly fruit.

Small slightly pink head. Deep slightly hazy red body. Cherry yoghurt aroma. Sourish cherry, wood, and yoghurt taste. Nice and harmonic. Not too exciting, but definitely decent. (0.25l bottle with gr0ve.)

Pours an odd pinkish-red color with a tall carbonated white head. Sweet aroma of cherries. A bit weak on the taste, though flavor has fruit and tartness associated with a lambic.

Draught (Dickens, Riga) Dull red, thin head. Crisp sweet cherry aroma. Cherry taste not too dominant, and fades to a pleasantly creamy light malt body. Unexciting, but very drinkable.

8.4oz bottle. Murky reddish-brown color. Cherry flavors come off a with a little more of a subtle and natural taste than some other commercial lambics. Some malt backbone shines through, not unlike a Flemish sour ale.

(cherish brand name) bottle. pours bright red with a huge pink head. took several minutes to pour. aroma was a nice fruity yeast. surprisingly refined, especially considering the soda like appearance. taste is candy sweet, like a liquid cherry jolly rancher. very little of the dry/tart/funky qualities that makes lambics great. more akin to a shirley temple than a lambic.
