Commercial Description:
The Bios Kriek Lambic is sold under the CHERISH label in the USA and outside Europe. Everybody likes the right balance between the sourness of the Lambic and the sweetness of the fruit, in this case cherries. The aroma of the cherries is not too dominant, as it should be. The beer gives a very pleasant and refreshing feeling in the mouth, with a smooth cherry aftertaste. The Bios Kriek Lambic is an excellent thirst quencher, low in alcohol (5 % by volume) and great to drink at parties. True Lambic lovers prefer the Bios Kriek Lambic so much because you taste slightly more of the Lambic sourness, than in some more commercial Belgian Lambics, wherein the artificial sweetness is too strong.

Bottle (250ml). As "Cherish Kriek." Moderate gusher on opening. Deep slightly cloudy ruby, large frothy lasting pinkish white head - nice sticky lacing. Dry and spicy-yeasty aroma, dominated by sour cherry and sour funky - not hugely funky, but pretty solid. Taste - yummy, sour cherry all the way, a little syrupy, but enough sourness to keep it real. Light and syrupy body, nice life to the mouthfeel but not much carbonation - a little lingering acidity in the finish - very nice; dry, sharp and fruity. A dessert lambic.

25 cL bottle. Pours hazy hazzlenut brown with a diminished light brown head. Brett acidic towards a citric aroma with a slight sweetness. Flavour holds a subdued sweetness beneath a solid fruity acidity. Leads into a nice fruity dry finish with a soft acidity.

250ml bottle with the Cherish label. This one was a gusher and poured all head. Settled into a red color with a reddish / pink head. Aromas of cherries, other berries, and lightly funky. Tastes of sweet and tart cherries.

250 ml bottle. Small vanishing ruby-beige head. Unclear reddish-amber colored body. Cherry aroma is noteable, but not prominent. Notes of apples, barnyard and almond. Tart and acidic fruit flavors. Lots of fruity acidity in the finish as well. Very nice.

rating from notes, bottle labeled as cherish kriek lambic. poured a light red in color with light carbination. sweet cherry medicine smell and sweetness. taste is slightly tart, good cherry taste that is not too artificial but has this odd flavor. bottle was fairly beat up looking and was the last in the store so who knows. will have to get a better looking bottle and re-try.

On tap, 8/31/07. Me thinks this keg may be a little on the older side of things, I’ve had nothing but problems with it since we tapped it, likes to pour lots of foam. On the brighter side of things it seems to have done wonders to the beer itself, it no longer tastes like cough medicine and instead resembles a slightly sweet almost lambic. Aroma is straight up cherry pie filling, but there is actually some depth to the flavor with this keg, instead of the usual Nyquil-esque flavor that is usually there.

Bought at Ledger’s Liquors, in Berkeley, CA. Pours EXTREMELY tall soup-bubbly pink head. Very pretty and lasts for quite some time.Perfumy aroma, but not an overly sweet aroma. Definately has the scent of a kriek. Definately a sour-tasting Kriek. Cherries are certainly present, but not nearly as sweet as some of the krieks I’ve had before. However, it also doesn’t explode in my mouth like some Kreiks I’ve had either. Very slight sourness that lingers on the pallete long after you’ve taken a sip.
