Commercial Description:
The Bios Kriek Lambic is sold under the CHERISH label in the USA and outside Europe. Everybody likes the right balance between the sourness of the Lambic and the sweetness of the fruit, in this case cherries. The aroma of the cherries is not too dominant, as it should be. The beer gives a very pleasant and refreshing feeling in the mouth, with a smooth cherry aftertaste. The Bios Kriek Lambic is an excellent thirst quencher, low in alcohol (5 % by volume) and great to drink at parties. True Lambic lovers prefer the Bios Kriek Lambic so much because you taste slightly more of the Lambic sourness, than in some more commercial Belgian Lambics, wherein the artificial sweetness is too strong.

Can’t understand the low score every one else give this. If I could give this beer a higher rating for aroma I would - it smells like a cherry cordial. A truly fantastic lambic.

I had this on tap at the Sharp Edge Creekhouse in Pittsburgh, thanks to mtoast. This has got to be one of the best places to get a beer tasting experience. This brew pours with a reddish orange fruity looking purple hue that is pleasing to the eye. Has a very nice and attractive pinkish head. Overall, this is a great looking brew. Has the aroma of cherries but I must say this is not like the overwhelming aroma of the Cherish Raspberry, it is more laid back. Fruity well behaved smell yes, but not excessive. Ooooooo, the taste of this stuff is simply divine. Like creamy almost sour cherries. I really like the flavor of this stuff. Has a cherry creamy carbonation that is enjoyed, like that of fine fruity champagne. You must taste this to really get an idea of the flavor that I cannot put into words. I imagine kings, queens and other royalty regularly requesting this kind of beer. Finish is sweet, but not overly sweet. Very enjoyable nothing like it, except perhaps their raspberry Cherish. Just plain simply very, very nice. There is not a hint of alky in this brew what so ever, just cannot detect it.

A fantastic lambic. Especially the palate is exceptional it has the taste of almond and marzipan. The head is beautiful, and the taste of blackcurrant is well-balanced. I had this draught, which i believe is an great advantage for this beer.

Quite a nice tart fruity aroma from a strong head. Cherry flavors with a solid sourness. Very nice and refreshing.

25 cl. Cherish version, 07 vintage. Dark red-brown with a two-finger lasting and creamy head. Nice frosting all over the glass. Big aroma of tart cherry and slight apple. Flavor is sweet and tart cherry pie with a hint of cinnamon, apple vinegar and lemon juice on the finish. Medium body is creamy but lightly rippled with carbonation.

A brilliantly clear cherry red color on the pour. Head is AWOL, as is the lace. Nose is “Cherry Cough Drops”, or better yet one of my mother’s “Cherry Cobblers”, God how I miss her and those pies, but then that’s what makes memories so special. Front is sweet, but the tartness hits immediately at the gaunt top. Finish is acidulous, sparsely hopped, dry sherry like aftertaste, pleasant at any rate and if you like lambics, the “Cherish” line as with Melbourne Bros. are well worth a sample. Ranks #360 on my current 1000 beer masterlist.
